Calculator
Termite Treatment Calculator
Use this as a fipronil dosing calculator or an imidacloprid dosing estimator. It also provides an optimized purchase decision calculator for termiticides Agenda and Premise, used in Kerala termite treatments.
For background on fipronil and imidacloprid, see Termites: Cancer to Buildings.
* Effective pre-construction treatment requires treating soil inside and along the outer face of the plinth beam.

How to use this calculator
What does this calculator estimate?
It estimates imidacloprid and fipronil requirements for pre-treatment and post-construction termite treatments — soil fills, vertical foundation treatment, and slabs or beams with drilled holes. Outputs include finished solution volume, concentrate required, bottle count, and approximate cost.
How do I select a chemical and dosing standard?
Use the chemical buttons to choose imidacloprid (Premise SC) or fipronil (Agenda 25 EC). Then select dosing based on US EPA or Indian manufacturer label standards. Adjust the wastage percentage to match how tightly controlled your site work will be.
How do I optimise bottle purchase quantities?
Enter current market prices under each bottle size. The calculator will suggest the most efficient combination of sizes to minimise leftover chemical and reduce cost.
What else should I use this for?
Use the output to understand the real cost of termite treatment before you negotiate with your pest control contractor. Most homeowners don't know these figures, which gives contractors room to overcharge.
FAQ
Is this a termite treatment calculator for dose per litre and pesticide dilutions?
Yes. It converts treatment area or linear length into finished solution volume and estimates dilution volume, chemical concentrate, bottle quantity, and approximate cost for imidacloprid or fipronil. You can map this to dose per litre planning.
Does this work as an imidacloprid dosing calculator?
Yes. The imidacloprid options estimate finished solution volume, concentrate required, and dose per litre planning based on the selected label dilution.
Is this a termite chemical cost calculator?
Yes. Enter bottle prices to see an estimated chemical cost and suggested purchase quantities. It does not include labour or equipment costs.
Can I use this to dose Premise and Agenda brands sold in India?
Yes. Premise is imidacloprid 30.5% and Agenda is fipronil 2.92%; both are available in India. This calculator estimates material cost for these termiticide dosing scenarios only.
Can I use this calculator with brands other than Premise or Agenda?
Pay close attention to chemical concentration. As long as the active ingredient and label match a termite treatment use, you can. Do not use pesticides or formulations that merely contain similar chemicals. Bottle sizes also vary by brand, so enter prices and sizes carefully.
Why is there variation in termite treatment doses?
Dosing changes with termite load in the area, soil type (rocks and stone need more chemical), and a wastage allowance — 5% for very tight, well-controlled work; 8–10% for a realistic professional site allowance (recommended).
What units does the calculator accept?
You can input areas or lengths in feet or metres and switch between them inside the calculator. Results are shown in litres and millilitres.
What does "finished solution volume" mean?
Finished solution is the total spray volume after dilution. The calculator uses your selected dilution to convert that into the exact concentrate required.
Do bottle prices affect the chemical dose?
No. Bottle prices only change the recommended purchase quantity and total cost estimate. Dose and dilution remain based on label assumptions.
Does this cover pre-construction soil treatment and post-construction injection?
Yes. It supports horizontal soil treatment before construction, vertical foundation treatment, and post-construction drill-hole or injection-line estimates.
Is this a termite treatment cost estimator?
Yes, for the included chemicals only, using label dilutions from the manufacturer or US EPA standard dilution. You must factor labour costs, personal protective equipment, and other site expenses separately.
Is this calculator a substitute for licensed pest-control advice?
No. It is for planning and comparison only. Always follow product labels, local regulations, and professional guidance for final application decisions.
